Suffering, The

AVault Review (4.0/5)^©: Speaking in the broadest terms, console-to-PC conversions aren’t usually the most graceful beasts. The Suffering evades this blanket statement nicely; it’s strong enough on most points to stand proud as a good game, not just “good for a port.” The graphics, while dated, hold their own thanks to the fantastic lighting, and the audio work truly should be experienced. If you like to be frightened out of your wits while enthralled with an engaging story, then go and buy The Suffering. Play it at night with the lights out, but make sure none of your friends are around to point and laugh when you shriek in terror.
